Job Description: Director – Private Equity Accounting The Role As the Director on the Devonshire Investors Accounting team, you will have an opportunity to learn, grow and build your career with Fidelity’s Corporate Accounting. You will be a key member of the team accountable for the accounting and reporting of the DI managed entities and have the opportunity to work on projects supporting the team’s overall goals. As Director you will have a lead role in the quarterly and annual close process for private equity funds, Investor Entities and/or operating companies and support the development of the accountants on the team. You will be responsible for driving forward various key initiatives on the team and growing relationships with business partners including senior members of the finance, tax, treasury, and external auditors. You will also play a key role in the mentoring, coaching and development of the associates on the team. Along with the others on the team, the you will also be responsible for implementing and ensuring the accurate execution of team’s policies, procedures, and controls. The Expertise and Skills You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent; CPA or advanced degree a plus 10 years of experience with a track record in relevant accounting, public accounting and/or private equity experience.Intellectual curiosity, flexibility, and willingness to learn new skills Confidence, ability to make decisions, and presence to work independently and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, including effectively interacting with and influencing senior management Outstanding critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including crafting presentations to communicate financial information to influence decision making Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to influence others and establish relationships Ability to lead, coach, develop performance of team members Experience preparing and reviewing GAAP financial statements, particularly partnerships required Ability to work on multiple areas/projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines Ability to use financial systems and reporting tools; strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel & Word) Experience with, or proven track record to learn, complex financial systems and multi-dimensional reporting tools (e.g. eFront, Oracle, Power BI, Yardi). The base salary range for this position is $103,000-$218,000 per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
