Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to oversee operations within our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Title XIX Waiver (IDD) Program. This role requires an individual who can effectively manage tasks and provide oversight of agency staff implementing IPPs (individual program plans) of all members in the Waiver Program. This position serves as the primary agency contact that communicates and collaborates with multiple agencies services shared consumers. The Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all standards while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day supervision of Waiver staff; manages staff caseloads to ensure consumers are assigned to appropriate staff and that case load size does not exceed current standards.
  • Provides program utilization review by monitoring and approving all service requests submitted to the ASO.
  • Ensures that the needs of clients are identified and met utilizing evidence-based services. Conducts self-review as outlined in Waiver Manual.
  • Participates in quarterly training sessions and routine conference calls provided by the ASO.
  • Informs direct supervisor and upper management staff of programmatic changes, barriers and successes.
  • Works directly with agency accounting staff to resolve billing and authorization issues.
  • Provides and documents clinical supervision for staff as specified in agency policies and procedures. Monitors client records to ensure documentation meets agency and Waiver Program standards; completes client record reviews as required.
  • Participates in hiring and follows agency procedures for filling vacant staff positions and makes recommendations for hiring to agency management.
  • Responsible for ongoing monitoring of staff performance, providing feedback and if needed, disciplinary action in consultation with upper management.
  • Maintains schedule of activities in Carelogic (EMR); monitor alerts in Carelogic (failed activities, missing treatment plans, activities not statused, etc.) and resolve issues daily for self and staff.
  • Consults with and reports to direct supervisor or other agency leaders to resolve crises and minimize risk to the agency.

Qualifications

  • A Masters’ or Bachelors’ degree granted by an accredited college or university in one of the following human services fields: Psychology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Other Degrees approved by the West Virginia Board of Social Work.
  • A social work license in the State of West Virginia is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum one year demonstrated experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
  • Must pass Criminal Background Checks (CIB), WV DHHR Protective Services Record Checks and OIG Medicaid Exclusion List Checks as outlined in State and Agency policy.
  • Must have valid West Virginia driver’s license in good standing and access to a vehicle.
