Fenics Markets Xchange (“FMX”) combines BGC Partners’ market leading Fenics Rates and FX platforms with its new FMX Futures Xchange. FMX will now provide fully electronic trading in cash Treasuries, foreign exchange and interest rate futures
Fenics UST is FMX’s leading Rates platform and the crown jewel of the FMX franchise, providing one of the fastest and most reliable ultra-low-latency matching engines in the cash UST marketplace.
Responsibilities :
Fenics Markets Xchange (“FMX”) is looking for a trading desk support. A successful candidate will work well in a small, entrepreneurial team environment.
The person in this position will play a key role for the firm by helping with many of the day-today responsibilities associated with the company’s broking operations.
This person will have an opportunity to work with Account Managers and producing Brokers and will aid in the day-to-day functions of desk production.
Principal Responsibilities & Accountabilities :
Provide consistent dependable support to trading desks by :
- Ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of broking transactions required
- Assisting in daily preparation of P&L
- Liaise daily with operations functions
- Handle confidential information with a high level of discretion
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain a polished and professional demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work under rigid time constraints
- Strong attention to detail and to multi-task effectively
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Other duties as required
