We have a challenging and exciting opportunity for a Director of Supply Chain Operations in our Mesquite, TX facility.
Primary Function:
The Mesquite facility Director of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for driving excellence in warehousing, inventory management, material movement, on-time delivery performance, cost reductions and process improvement. In addition, the Director of Supply Chain Operations will be responsible for attracting and developing talent within the multiple departments in supply chain operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute on the warehousing, inventory management, fulfillment, transportation and other non-production strategic plans within the Mesquite, TX manufacturing facility.
- Oversee all warehouse, shipping, scheduling and materials staffing optimization, including effectively forecasting staffing needs and allocation of resources on a daily basis.
- Effectively evaluate the performance of all aspects of the Mesquite facility supply chain and logistics operation, while driving continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with production, engineering and quality leadership teams to ensure high quality, defect-free and on-time delivery of our products to all customers.
- Effectively attract, retain and develop talent, while building a positive and nurturing working environment for our associates.
- Develop and implement best practices, developmental plans and performance metrics within all areas of responsibility.
Qualifications:
- 7 - 10 years of experience in a sourcing supply chain or related function.
- Significant Supply Chain and Operations background preferred, with experience in multiple disciplines (i.e., manufacturing, planning, logistics, etc.).
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in one or more of the following: Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Inventory Management, Capacity Planning or Production Planning.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business or related field required.
