GENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARY
Directs and manages the Branch Operations Compliance Section; coordinates with the Compliance and Bank Operations Support Director and counsel to provide support to bank business units with legal documents, disclosures, and contracts; and oversees the management of the Review Unit, Account Services Unit, and Manual Unit by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities:

Manages the Branch Operations Compliance Section. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems; and disciplining and recommending the termination of employees.

- Participates in the plan, design, and development of new deposit related products and services, ensuring regulatory compliance, appropriate risk management controls, and development of appropriate customer agreements; and directs modification of products and services as necessary.
- Reviews, interprets, and approves changes to bank-wide operations procedures, and answers related staff and customer questions. Reviews varied and complex customer legal documents, including trust agreements, court orders, powers of attorney, deposit account control agreements, partnership/LLC agreements, etc.
- Manages the policy, program, and procedure workflow system and ensures that policies are updated and submitted to Board of Directors within set schedule.
- Manages the research, development, and publishing of the bank's procedural manuals.
- Reviews new and renewal vendor contracts for validity and to ensure that Bank’s interests and requirements are included. Consults with legal counsel where appropriate, drafts required changes, and collaborates with business units to facilitate final contract.
- Acts as a liaison between the IT Division and the business side of the Bank to ensure appropriate communication regarding current technologies.
- Manages the review, accuracy, and imaging of deposit account, customer, and online banking documents. Analyzes the processes to ensure information is entered accurately to the bank’s core systems, monitors the integrity of such information, and ensures that deposit products and services function as disclosed, making adjustments as necessary.
- Manages the review and processing of the bank’s exception items to ensure all items are accurately posted to customer accounts or returned as appropriate.
- Manages the bank’s Retention Program and ensures that all documents maintained throughout the bank are retained in compliance with state and federal regulatory and industry standards.
- Ensures that all major efforts under their responsibility are executed efficiently and cost effectively, achieving the highest quality outcomes for the bank, mitigating risks and minimizing negative impacts.
- Develops a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements as they pertain to deposit operations, and ensures that operations within areas of responsibility effectively support compliance processes.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Ensure business unit’s operations comply with bank policy, procedures, and banking regulations (for business unit heads).
