Description
The Retail Banking Manager will oversee the successful operation of a branch location by managing the day-to-day operations, coaching employees, and ensuring a positive customer experience. Additionally, this role will oversee the Retail Banking Supervisors for all locations to ensure consistency with implementation of bank policies and procedures, ensure consistency with training of Retail Banking personnel, and deepening customer relationships. Some travel to other branch locations may be required for training, meetings, etc. (mileage reimbursement offered).
This is a full-time opportunity with hours ranging between 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday-Friday, along with a Saturday rotation every fourth Saturday (working remotely unless needed onsite) from 8:15AM-12:00PM.
Retail Banking Manager Duties and Job Functions:
- Responsible for the overall profitability, operation and growth of the office
- Ensure proper staffing and training of personnel by interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing employees to successfully meet role expectations
- Supervision of Personal Bankers and Retail Banker at a single branch location, including day to day operations such as scheduling, training, vault and ATM balancing, security and reporting/compliance responsibilities
- Assists staff as necessary (open accounts, process transactions, conflict resolution)
- Manage Retail Banking Supervisors at all branch locations, including branch visits
- Participates in local organizations to assure all community banking needs are being met and that customers and potential customers fully understand the Bank services available
- Participates in community activities to generate visibility and contact for the bank
- Ensure building is maintained interior and exterior
- Assist Chief Operating Officer with Retail Banking Operations
- Assist with driving team performance and engagement by conducting regular team meetings and individual dialogs; ensuring employees are informed of organizational policies and changes
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of banking experience including at least 3 years in a leadership and/or managerial capacity
- Lending experience preferred
- Proven experience successfully leading teams in a retail and commercial banking environment or an organization
- Proven experience building strong relationships with a banking team, management, and customers
- Proven experience with successfully directing and implementing change initiatives despite potential resource constraints, competing priorities, or other challenges
- Excellent business and communication skills with the ability to focus on the big picture while understanding key priorities
- Strong technical accounting, business, and auditing background, ideally with substantial experience gained in the banking industry
- Unquestionable ethics, integrity, and values
- High level of energy, passion, and commitment to excellence as it relates to all aspects of banking
- Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate others
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to summarize complex, technical concepts into language that can be understood by banking team personnel, peers, superiors, and customers

Software Operating Requirements Include:
- General knowledge of document origination software preferred
- Familiarity with Windows
- Microsoft Office Suite products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams
- Core Bank Software (Jack Henry)
