Job Summary:
This individual Will provide support to manufacturing operations for a fast-paced production environment and engage in machine repair, conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and participate in continuous improvement projects.
Reporting To: Maintenance Supervisor
Alternative Report: Plant Manager
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, drives, controllers, and repair circuits;
- Perform maintenance and repair on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical production equipment;
- Participates in tooling and mold changes according to production schedules, special projects and preventive maintenance duties as directed;
- Follows and participates in plant safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment;
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Has an understanding of various types of production equipment, mechanical function, and operation with knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment;
- Computer experience with a working knowledge of industrial control systems.
- Provide support 24/7 manufacturing operations, available to work weekends and split shifts to support production operations.
- Industrial wiring, building maintenance, stick and Tig welding are a plus.
Education and Experience:
· 1-3 years experience, in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with demonstrated ability to perform maintenance function.
· A two-year technical degree or High School with certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Repetitive bending from the upright position to approximately a 35-degree angle;
- Maneuver in various positions including: standing, kneeling, squatting, laying down, stooping, climbing, and sitting.
- Perform job functions within an open area (ambient) facility or outdoors as needed.
- Transport heavy equipment and parts to various locations within the facility using carts or fork trucks.
- Pulling or pushing a hand jack or overhead crane with product weighing up to 500 lbs.
- Ability to work around high temperature ovens, heating elements and equipment up to 600 degrees.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
Environmental Conditions:
· Most duties will be performed on the factory floor consisting of an open manufacturing environment utilizing zone heating and cooling for temperature control.
· The work environment may also consist of open warehouse operations where fork lifts are present.
· While preforming this job the individual may be exposed to equipment with moving parts. Some equipment may have heat ovens that reach 350 degrees.
· The company utilizes Pentane, a flammable chemical during the manufacturing process. The presence of Pentane requires the company to operate the facility within the guidelines of the Environmental Risk Management Plan Level 3.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
