What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yoga Instructor position at Focal Massage LLC?
Here’s What We’re About:
Focal Massage is growing and our wellness division is launching a new series of Focal Wellness Classes to help people move better, breathe deeper, and get out of pain.
These are therapeutic, educational movement classes rooted in yoga, mobility, posture work, breathwork, and recovery. We're not chasing trends. We're creating something sustainable where every class is built to support healing and real change.
We’re looking for instructors who are passionate about teaching and excited to grow a class community from the ground up. You don’t need to be a sales expert but you do need to be proactive, friendly, and willing to help spread the word. This isn’t a walk-in style gym most of your clients will come because you invited them, connected with them, or followed up.
If you're passionate about helping people feel better and want the freedom to grow your own following within a supportive structure, this is the right spot.
What You’ll Do:
- Teach 45–60 minute small group yoga classes
- Adapt movements and cue clearly for clients with pain, injuries, or limited mobility
- Offer a safe, welcoming environment that encourages consistency and connection
- Help build your class attendance by connecting with clients, inviting new ones, and following up after class
- Collaborate with our wellness and massage team to align class content with client needs and ongoing care plans
What We’re Looking For:
Must-Haves:
- Certified Yoga Instructor
- Strong communicator with a calm, approachable presence
- Able to teach entry-level and therapeutic-focused classes
- Comfortable initiating conversations, inviting people to class, and building a consistent group over time
- Willing to grow through mentorship, feedback, and collaboration
Nice-to-Haves:
- Background in injury prevention, posture correction, or pain management
- Basic understanding of fascial lines or neuromuscular systems (or curiosity to learn)
- A natural connector, someone who remembers names, checks in on progress, and genuinely builds relationships
A Quick Note on Class Attendance:
We’ll support you with the space, the systems, and the strategy — but as the instructor, you’ll play a key role in filling your classes. That means:
- Reaching out to your network
- Following up with first-timers
- Being the reason people keep coming back
This isn’t a corporate gym. You won’t be handed a packed room on day one. But if you’re good with people and believe in what you teach, you’ll grow a solid following and we’ll be there to help every step of the way.
We WILL provide you with all the tools for success and teach you how to fill up your class
Why You’ll Love Teaching Here:
- Freedom to build your class your way
- Real connection with your clients
- Support from a skilled therapeutic team
- Mentorship and collaboration opportunities
- Flexible schedule
- Space to grow personally and professionally
