What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cabinet Assembler position at Focal Point Fixtures, Inc.?
Position Summary:
This job consists of using two automated machines to help assemble cabinets. A doweler machine to apply dowels to certain parts, manually put pieces together. Then into the clap case (press) to tighten cabinet box together.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Use of automated machinery
- Feeds parts into doweler and monitor for quality
- Inspects parts to assure it meets specifications and corrects problems
- Notifies receiving/inventory when in need of more supplies
- Cut, trim, file, edge band manually as needed
- Receives direction from the supervisor and notifies them when more work is needed
- Maintains the work area, machinery and tools in a neat, clean and orderly manner
- Follows all safety procedures, rules as well as keeping supervisor aware of any potential safety issues
- Adjusts machines as needed for all program changes
- Prioritizes all HOT jobs
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly maintenance for cleaning, greasing and maintaining inventory
- Program and make adjustments as needed
- Fills in other areas as needed
Qualifications:
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Attention to detail
- problem solving
- Reading blueprints (preferred, will train)
- Reading a tape measure
- Use of hand tools; drills, routers, rubber mallet
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
