What are the responsibilities and job description for the Countertop Fabricator position at Focal Point Fixtures, Inc.?
Position Summary:
This job consists of cutting, spraying, adhesive, applying high pressure laminate (HPL) onto a wood core for countertops. For solid surface, 90% of the time, parts are cut to size off the CNC. The process is assembling with glue and tape, routing to shape and then sanding to customers approved finish.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Cuts, trims, files tapes edge banding manually as needed use of power tools and sanders.
- Receives direction from the supervisor and notifies the supervisor when more work is needed
- Maintains the work area, machinery and tools in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
- Follows all safety procedures, rules and guidelines as well as notifying the supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues.
- Prioritizes HOT jobs as required
- Maintains a working knowledge of the various materials used and differentiate between them
- Fills in other areas as needed
Qualifications:
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to read tape measure
- Ability to read blueprints
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Notifies receiving/inventory when in need of more material
- Problem solving
- Good with distinguishing variations of colors

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
