Focal Point Medical Staffing is hiring (Med Tech) for per diem (PRN) positions at one of our Assisted Living Facility partners in Clayton, NC! See below for full details and benefits.
Salary Range: $21.00/hr.
Schedule/Shifts: 7a-3p, 3p-11p, and 11p-7a
*Same day pay options available with access to up to 50% of your earnings, right after your shift, before payday!*
Position Requirements:
- Must be active on the Medication Aide Registry for Adult Care Homes OR have a 15hr Medication Tech Training Certificate
- Two forms of identification (Driver's License and Social Security card)
- Two References from past/current employer
- Most recent negative PPD (within last 12 months) OR Chest X-ray (within last 5 years)
- Current CPR Certification.
- 6 months of Medication Technician (Med-Tech) experience
- Clean criminal background (OIG, SAMS, OFAC)
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Reliable transportation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Helping patients maintain their personal health and hygiene in their place of residence
- Shopping for groceries and preparing meals
- Grooming patients and handling basic logistics
- Assisting with medical tasks such as checking vital signs and administering medication
- Providing long-term or intermittent care to clients who are unable to care for themselves or perform daily tasks
- Upkeeping their clients’ hygiene, ensuring their safety, and facilitating social-emotional support
- Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner
