Gardener

Objectives:

• To ensure Focal Pointe provides exceptional customer service by delighting the client
• Creates a unique experience for the client by caring for their as it was their own.
• Perform assigned tasks to Focal Pointe standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Reports to:  Client, Account Manager, Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

• Provides Landcare services to include weeding, detailing, watering, planting, clean-up, and edging.
• Work with Account and Operations Manager to exceed customers’ expectations.
• Communicate proactively and effectively with clients and team members.

Qualifications:

• Must be a person of integrity, worthy of leading the professional Focal Pointe team.
• Accommodating, friendly, authentic disposition, prone to build long lasting relationships.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to work hard, high attention to detail, follow-up, and the ability to prioritize.
• Proficient equipment operating skills including but not limited to lawn mowers, string trimmers, stick edges, and pruners
• Management, coaching, and personnel development skills.
• Excellent communication skills with client and peers.
• Makes a good effort to learn and use English skills.
• Participate in snow removal as a Crew Member or Route Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or another related field is preferred.
• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with approved driving record.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Employee is frequently required to sit, climb, stand, walk, handle, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk and hear.
• The employee must occasionally lift and /or move objects up to fifty pounds.
• Employees in this position are occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions including extreme cold, heat, wind, and rain.
• Employees are occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Employees are occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
