What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Health Care Technician position at Focal Pointe of St?
Objective:
- Monitor and inspect the health of turf, shrubs, and trees throughout client properties.
- Provide solutions to promote healthy turf, shrubs, and trees.
- Optimize safety, quality, and efficiency on client properties.
Reports to: Branch Manager
Responsibilities:
- Servicing and maintaining turf, shrub, and tree areas on Focal Pointe properties.
- Communicating directly with clients, as well as Focal Pointe team members to create lasting relationships.
- Prepares and submits necessary documentation to Contract Administrator.
- Follow operating procedures and standards that maximize safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Quality control analysis-Conducting tests and inspections to products, services, and processes to evaluate quality and performance.
- Assists in training new Plant Health Care technicians to provide services that exceed expectations.
- Participate in snow removal as a Crew Member or Route Manager.
Qualifications:
- Must be a person of integrity, worthy of working with the professional Focal Pointe team.
- Accommodating, friendly, authentic disposition, prone to build long lasting relationships.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to work hard, high attention to detail, follow-up, and the ability to prioritize.
- Proficient equipment operating skills including, but not limited to backpack blowers, push spreaders, aerator, Z-spray, and tank and hose combinations.
- Proficient in mixing necessary chemicals and fertilizers in proper ratios to promote healthy turf, shrubs, and trees.
- Able to learn the critical functions of our cloud-based, industry specific software to include quick tickets, clocking in and out of jobs, and utilizing GPS functions.
- Associates or Technical Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of field related experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain IL or MO Pesticide Applicators License within 3 months.
- Valid Driver’s License with approved driving record.
