What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Software Engineer (Cybersecurity Startup) position at Focus Capital Markets?
Focus Capital is looking for a talented senior software engineer with extensive full stack experience including JavaScript frameworks like Node and React to join our profitable startup technology partner. The firm has a revolutionary cybersecurity suite that is already used by numerous Fortune 100-500 companies and government innovation programs. The core offering is best of breed and considered to be the most innovative yet secure and user friendly platform of its kind to mitigate organizational cyber risk.
In this role, you will help build next gen software and cloud services that address cyber risk within a full stack environment while leveraging containers tools, open source software and AI. You will also address customer specific needs and refine software to meet their specs while also seeking new challenges that could be beneficial to these customers. You will also have influence on the integration of Gen AI technologies to improve existing services.
After years of being self-funded and profitable, the company entered growth mode with VC backing and we are looking for someone who can take ownership of designing and delivering new client facing software.
The company itself is headquartered in the DMV area and we look for someone who can join us onsite 1-2x per month.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience programming in Python, Java or C .
- Prior professional experience with NodeJS
- Prior professional experience with React.
- Desire to work with machine learning / AI
- Prior professional experience with cloud environments (i.e. AWS, GCP, Azure, Terraform)
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with cybersecurity software is a plus but not required.
- SQL or SQLAlchemy experience is preferred.
- A bachelors or higher in computer science or a related field
- Must have excellent communication skills.
Salary : $140,000 - $210,000
