Duties
As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Implementing care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each client.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
• Assisting with heavy lifting and mobility needs, ensuring safety and comfort during transfers.
• Maintaining a clean and organized living environment for clients.
• Supporting clients in community engagement activities and promoting independence.
• Documenting daily activities and any changes in client behavior or health status.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Experience in home health, nursing home settings, or direct support roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
• A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet the varying needs of clients within their home community care settings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
