Position Summary:
The Project Specialist works in-office and on clients’ sites to conduct IT project work, complete equipment installations/upgrades, and troubleshoot IT issues. This work includes the implementation and completion of network configuration projects, data and email migrations, SharePoint and Entra ID development as well as server and workstation deployment projects.
Basic Functions:
Position Summary:
The Project Specialist works in-office and on clients’ sites to conduct IT project work, complete equipment installations/upgrades, and troubleshoot IT issues. This work includes the implementation and completion of network configuration projects, data and email migrations, SharePoint and Entra ID development as well as server and workstation deployment projects.
Basic Functions:
- Complete hardware infrastructure installations, data and email migration projects.
- Develop, design and migrate to and from all cloud hosted solution applications.
- Complete onsite project work, including equipment installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Design and maintain SOPs and project documentation for specific project types.
- Handle project related client troubleshooting emergencies, both on-site and remotely
- Conduct equipment burn ins, reviews and installations for clients as scheduled.
- Complete tasks on schedule and detail progress with client, assigned project manager and Connectwise
- Maintain appropriate client information pertaining to projects and equipment in IT Glue.
- Execute delivery of daily technical support for clients as assigned.
- Ability to work independently and in a team while communicating effectively.
- Escalate/seek help with project assignments requiring a higher level support or that cannot be completed within agreed service levels or project timelines.
- Responsible for entering all work, time, and expenses as a service ticket in ticketing system as it occurs.
- Work through project tickets and phases assigned.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional manner when interacting with clients, colleagues, and managers.
- Acquire and maintain a high level of knowledge on products, support policies and methods of delivery.
- Follow established support policies, procedures, and standard operations procedures (SOPs)
- Interpersonal skills: telephony skills, impeccable communication skills, active listening, and superior client-care
- Technical awareness: ability to both diagnose and address technical issues appropriately
- Understanding of support tools, techniques and how technology is used to provide services.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment

- Issue Tracking Systems
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training
- Two years of professional experience in technical position
- Microsoft SharePoint and Entra Experience a plus
- Satisfactory completion of background check
- Availability during standard office hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday - Friday
- Must be available for night and weekend project work as needed
- Reliable transportation for travel within the greater DC metro region
