Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development and Job Placement Specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This professional commission-based role is crucial for building and maintaining relationships with local employers, securing job placements for IT professionals, and contributing to the growth and success of FPS. The ideal candidate will have a strong network within the IT industry, a deep understanding of workforce development, and a passion for community-driven initiatives. The candidate must come with an already-developed client database to leverage immediately upon joining.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Leverage an existing client database to identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with local businesses and organizations that require IT talent.
- Develop strategic partnerships with companies, highlighting the value of hiring FOCUS-trained professionals.
- Attend and represent FPS at local industry events, job fairs, and networking meetings to promote our services and expand our client base.
- Negotiate and set talent fees based on industry standards, ensuring competitive and fair pricing.
Job Placement:
- Match IT professionals, particularly FOCUS graduates, with suitable job opportunities within client companies.
- Provide personalized support to candidates, including resume reviews, interview preparation, and career counseling.
- Ensure that placements align with both the candidates' career goals and the clients' needs, fostering long-term success.
Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to assess their staffing needs and ensure satisfaction with FPS services.
- Monitor the performance of placed professionals and provide follow-up support as needed.
- Facilitate opportunities for professional development and networking for placed IT professionals.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and report on job placements, business development activities, and the impact of your efforts on FPS's revenue and mission.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously improve recruitment strategies and client service offerings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, recruitment, or sales, preferably within the IT industry.
- An already-developed client database that can be leveraged immediately for job placements and business development.
- Strong existing network of contacts within the Baltimore IT community.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to meeting and exceeding targets.
- A passion for community service and a commitment to the mission of FOCUS Professional Services.
- Must reside within the Baltimore, Maryland area.
Compensation:
- This is a commission-based role with performance-based incentives. The specialist will earn a commission of 5% of the total talent fee for each successful placement.
- Additional bonuses are available for exceeding targets and securing high-value partnerships.
