The FMI Retreat Centers Director position exists to oversee all aspects of the operation of the Focus on the Family Retreat Centers at all locations and to play a vital role in the strategic planning for and expansion of FMI. This position will also serve as the General Manager of a designated retreat center and will be responsible for all operations including, but not limited to facilities maintenance, security, housekeeping, local recruiting, food service and hospitality, financial performance, and Host Couples program. This role will ensure that every client experiences excellence in the areas of Physical Product, Systems and Processes, and Hospitality. This position, along with the FMI Clinical Director and the Clinical Director, State-Level, will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a culture that is consistent with the culture of Focus on the Family. As Director of Retreat Centers, this person will be responsible, in collaboration with the CFMO and other General Managers, for creating foundational culture and training documents, including but not limited to position standardization and utopian guest experience. Additionally, this person will be responsible for drafting staff support plans and other expansion related projects at the direction of the CFMO. Responsible to coordinate with the FMI Yield Manager to create availability and staffing for programming that is consistent with the Yield Management Strategy within the budgeted constraints of the Budget and Annual Operating plan. To be successful in this role, this person needs to fully understand the operations of the facility and programming, be committed to building and maintaining a healthy culture, and be driven to model and build a team that provides an intimate, attentive, and grace-filled hospitality experience for all guests. This person is expected to maintain the healthy tension between aggressive ministry volume and financial results vs. clinical sound practices as determined by the Clinical Director, State-Level, and the FMI Clinical Director.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Participates as a member of the Retreat Center Leadership Team (GM, Clinical Site Supervisor, and HR Liaison)
- Facilitates weekly Operations Team meetings (FMI General Managers and Business Support Assistants) and reports critical needs and updates to the CFMO
- Participates as a member of the Focus Marriage Institute Leadership Team (FMI Clinical Director, Yield Manager, and VP Focus Marriage Institute)
- Participates as a member of Chief Family Ministries Officer’s DRG (VP Marriage & Family Formation, VP Parenting & Youth, VP Focus Marriage Institute, and FMI Clinical Director)
- Informs and supports ministry expansion at the direction of the CFMO
- Works with the FMI Clinical Director to plan and execute quarterly and annual leadership gatherings.
- Is responsible for all facets of the daily operation of the retreat centers
- Maintains a high degree of excellence for all guests
- Oversees facility maintenance for all assets and landscaping
- Oversees housekeeping and the cleanliness of property including guest rooms and public areas
- Oversees hospitality, creation of menus, planning, preparation of all meals as determined by program demands
- Oversees the Host Couple program
- Is responsible for the Grant of Authority within guidelines for all expenses to maintain and operate the retreat center
- Is accountable for the financial results of the retreat center
- Shares responsibility with the Clinical Director, State-Level for the culture of the location
- Works with the HR Liaison to coordinate events for team building as outlined in the annual plan
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Leads a staff responsible for various functions at the property level and all retreat centers
- High-level decision making with significant financial ramifications to both income and expense
- Communication of strategy to the team members at their location and all retreat centers
- Accountable for the draft and execution of the annual plan and the Yield Management Strategy

- 7-10 years of experience in Restaurant and/or Hotel environment with two years in supervision
- Experience with the Hope Restored program preferred

- Experience in creating and executing strategy and an annual plan
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work shifts outside of normal business hours (including Saturday rotation and occasional evening shifts), as needed
- Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills
