The Lead Housekeeper position exists to help lead the housekeeping staff and guarantee a great guest experience by providing consistently high-quality accommodations with an inviting and clean atmosphere that will make guests feel at home.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Pursues the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Focus; adheres to the Standard of Moral Conduct and Statement of Faith; upholds Focus on the Family's ministry in prayer
Prays personally for Focus on the Family’s staff and constituents and may occasionally lead in a public prayer
Engages in Christian ministry

The Lead Housekeeper position exists to help lead the housekeeping staff and guarantee a great guest experience by providing consistently high-quality accommodations with an inviting and clean atmosphere that will make guests feel at home.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains the FMI standard of cleanliness of Cottages/Guest Rooms; general cleaning of bedroom, bathroom, sitting area; Outer Area of deck, porch, rockers, and shutters
- Maintains the FMI standard of cleanliness of Grace Chapel; general cleaning of upstairs chapel area, bathroom, and entry, and downstairs area counseling room, bathrooms, stairs, and sink area
- Maintains the cleanliness of the Hospitality Center, general cleaning of floors, windows, bathroom, and counseling rooms
- Trains housekeepers on cleaning tasks
- Checks rooms and common areas for cleanliness
- Responds to guests’ special requests and reports complaints to Supervisor
- Monitors and replenishes cleaning products
- Participates in large cleaning projects as required
- Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety policies in all areas
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week as needed
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- In the event of staff shortages or emergencies, will assist kitchen duties as needed
- Serves, interacts, and is sensitive to the needs of the couples and guests
- Observes and follows all Health Department Codes
- Attends and maintains Chemical Training
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Oversee housekeeping staff daily
- Assist in training employees in future locations; may also include travel
- Serve as point of contact for primary vendors
- Maintaining that the FMI quality cleanliness standards are always met
- Must be able to pass a Post Offer Prehire Physical exam
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
- Must be able to push/pull up to 25lbs
- Must be able to bend and reach above head
- Requires repetitive tasks/motions, good eye-hand-foot coordination, and good manual dexterity; Frequently requires bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- Some exposure to gases, odors, fumes, cleaning chemicals, bodily waste, dust, and sharp utensils
- Occasional holiday and weekend work is required

Personal Characteristics:
- Must be detail oriented, dependable, self-motivated
- Must have an even temperament that allows for working in a high-pressure, high-visibility environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in housekeeping
- Must achieve and maintain Chemical Training Certification
- Strong customer service and people skills
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Flexible in adjusting priorities
- Ability to work independently with very little immediate supervision
- Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Excellent organizational and team management skills
