ERP Finance Project Manager (Workday)

Focus on WD are seeking a skilled ERP Finance Project Manager (Workday) to join a Workday Consulting firm out of New York, US on a Full Time, Permanent Basis
 
Location: New York, USA (2-3 days a week on client site)
Salary: Circa $200,000 USD plus 20% bonus & benefits
 
A proven background leading multiple full lifecycle implementations of Financials Essential for this position. Ideally you’ll have a 5 year background in Project Management having led Large cycle, complex implementation assignments on Global programmes
 
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager to join our leading consulting partner in the US. The successful candidate will work on a unique and well-storied implementation of Workday, contributing their expertise to a large, complex deployment, including finance modules. This role requires extensive experience in full lifecycle implementations of ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle or other ERP finance systems.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the implementation of Workday ERP systems, including finance deployment.
• Manage large, complex deployment rollouts, ensuring project milestones and deliverables are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop project plans.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.

 
Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in multiple full lifecycle implementations of ERP systems (Workday, SAP, PeopleSoft, or other ERP finance systems).
• Extensive experience in managing large, complex deployment rollouts, including finance modules.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on-site in New York 2-3 days a week.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in consulting.
• Experience with large project management.
• Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
