ABOUT THE POSITION:

FOCUS clinicians provide assessment, evaluation and treatment for a diverse client population. Therapists collaborate to provide individualized services designed to engage and involve parents in supporting their child’s development through direct therapy, coaching and resource sharing.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and appropriate state licensure, or ability to obtain

· Experience in evaluation and treatment of pediatric delays and disorders preferred

· CFY candidates considered and encouraged to apply

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES:

· Adheres to FOCUS ILP policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements set by federal law, the State ILP program and payors such as Medicaid

· Functions as an effective team member; communicates and shares professional knowledge and skills with team members

· Provides evaluation and assessment for young children who are at risk for or have been identified as having developmental delays

· Develops interventions and consults with other team members as needed; brings expertise to the team in the areas of early speech and language acquisition, communication disorders and fluency.

· Develops family-centered, parent-driven Individualized Family Support Plans (IFSP); provides intervention and support services aligned with the goals of the IFSP; monitors progress toward achieving goals on the IFSP

· Supports follow-through on goals using strategies that take place within daily activities and routines

· Provides family-centered verbal and written communication to families and caregivers; communication and practices reflect sensitivity to cultural and social differences

· Assists parents in communicating with community agencies

· Maintains accurate, timely and up-to-date records for each assigned client; prepares and submits documentation as required

· Attends team and staff meetings, in-service training and other similar activities

· Maintains professional, confidential relationships with clients, staff and community members

· Works independently and demonstrates proficiency with managing client caseloads

Salary: $73,500- $82,000 DOE and Educational Attainment
