Role: Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Service Tech Leader
Compensation: TBD; Based on experience
Location: Madison

- Possess general maintenance skills
- Excited to learn and utilize updated software and hardware daily
- Ability to utilize mechanical skills to handle minor repairs and fixtures
- Interested in how electricity works to help the technician to diagnose electrical problems and carry out minor repairs
- Good maintenance skills, knows how things work and how to keep the place organized, as well as how to tackle maintenance tasks in a fast and easy manner
- A quick adapter in the face of change
What you are great at: (Responsibilities)
- Inspecting buildings, equipment, and appliances for functionality, checking for faults and fixing them where they exist to keep all things running and functioning properly; also, make provision for replacement of old and damaged appliances
- Diagnosing problems with appliances and facilitating their prompt repairs for the convenience of property users, and conducting repairs on minor problems, such as light fixtures, clogged toilets, leakages, peeling wall and various objects/items that are directly associated with the unit themselves
- Ensuring the safety of properties and void them of any danger to their occupants, visitors, and workers by putting away harmful objects and equipment, and putting in place machinery to handle emergencies, such as fire outbreaks; and create exit routes with proper direction for easy location during emergencies
- Creating and implementing property maintenance policies and standards to serve as a guide to other property workers to prevent misuse of property appliances which could result to damage
- Developing and maintaining a good relationship with contractors, vendors, and site workers to get the best deals on property repairs, supplies, and maintenance
- Checking electrical wiring for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards to avoid accidents
- Maintaining open communication liaising with consultants and property managers for information regarding operations, renovations, and authorizations
- Cleaning and prepping vacated buildings and rooms, getting them ready for new occupants to move-in
- Designing, planning, and scheduling for Maintenance Requests to be executed on properties
- Conducting training for new maintenance workers to get them acquainted with the job
What you have Achieved: (Requirements)
- 18 years or older
- The ability to lift 75 lbs, frequently bending and lifting safely
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to maintain Emergency Lines (On Call Status) on a rotating system
- Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others
- High school diploma or equivalent
