What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Fabricator position at Focus Workforce Management?
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary function of this position is to process parts in the fabrication department. Employee will comply with all safety and quality guidelines on machinery and in the workplace. The employee should expect to be adequately cross trained in various functions on all fabrication machines within the department.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Required to understand the differences between operating small hydraulic die stations, such as notch, mash, saw, and presses.
2. Cross training required in the general category and one machine in the specialty category.
3. Complete daily paperwork.
4. Understand and be able to maintain accurate inventory.
5. Perform operator daily PM on tools and equipment.
6. Perform Daily housekeeping / 5S.

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Prefer one to three years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form.
- Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.
- Ability to count and measure equipment.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read standard and metric tape measure.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties with direction.
- Demonstrates blueprint reading skills.
- Proficiently use Tracker to pull orders.
- Demonstrates inventory accuracy.
- Demonstrates ability to complete all paperwork necessary for the position.
- Ensure facility maintenance through housekeeping, keeping product and facility secure, and maintaining the assets of the facility.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT:
Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level is determined in the company’s employee handbook. Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Must be available and willing to work such weekends and/or holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
May be exposed to noise if working in or around a production area. Schedule is based on shift and production need. Consistently required to stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear. Physical demands include frequent lifting and/or carrying 10 – 100 lbs. and pushing or pulling 25 – 50 lbs.
