Supports engineering services activities such as hardware and software design and development (non-production) within manufacturing operations.
Principal Accountabilities
- Perform complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development tasks.
- Analyze engineering test results and implement changes to resolve issues.
- Collect data, analyze results, and implement procedures.
- Review project instructions and blueprints to determine test specifications, procedures, and objectives.
- Design, fabricate, and assemble mechanical components or assemblies for industrial equipment and machinery.
- Conduct tests under operational conditions to assess design performance and collect development data.
- Analyze test results and modify equipment as needed to meet specifications.
- Document test procedures, results, and recommendations for product or process changes.
- Maintain software, documentation, and equipment to the latest revision or operational specifications.
- Assist engineers in developing and designing hardware and software for customer product testing.
- Train technicians and operators on products, processes, and equipment.
- Develop and deliver customer presentations.
- Partner with engineers on third-party developments.
- Organize documentation such as specifications, schematics, and procedures.
- Conduct tests per customer requirements and specifications.
- Associate's degree, military training, or equivalent vocational experience required.
- Technical high school degree preferred.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, repetitive tasks, chemicals, and electrical risks.
- Regular handling of small components, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
