What are the responsibilities and job description for the Planner Scheduler - Production position at Focus?
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Planner Scheduler located in Salt Lake City, Utah .
Reporting to the Production Planner Manager, the Planner Scheduler , this role will manage materials / material flow, assist in standard WIP and standard Supermarket qty definition, implement Flex best practices, develop production plans based upon capacity, people, material availability, collaborate with Operations, Test, Engineering and Quality, KOI reporting all in support of sound KOIs and production planning systems.
What a typical day looks like :
- Work Order management / Plan vs Actual fulfillment tracking based on the available resources (materials, employees, equipment's etc.).
- Preparation of production plans, input of planning data into the integrated computer system of the company, notification of the purchasing group.
- Monitoring, control of implementation of plans, starting necessary actions in case of deviations
- Managing material movement within WIP (Work in process) aid in cycle count activities
- Define and manage material flows in support of production plans
- Monitoring of system accuracy in daily / weekly bases / General Item data, routing, BOM, CFT data / non-consumed demand, planned WO's.
- Preparing of Clean to build reports, checking the material availability, replanning if necessary, informing of order desk, ECO implementation tracing.
- Monitoring of open work orders, stocking levels, handling of stock differences.
- Preparing management and CFT specificized reports, monitoring of KPI's.
- Advises non-exempt associates regarding day-to-day priority of customer requests.
- Monitors and proactively addresses issues that impact performance to committed ship date (CSD), lead-time, response time, and inventory goals.
- Coordinates and manages high-visibility and / or important customer programs.
- May include initial customer or product startup initiatives or large customer programs.
- Coordinates with Master Scheduler to manage product life cycle and related materials availability issues.
- Drives process improvements inside and outside the area of Order Management.
- Provides input to management, reschedules, and / or interfaces with customer program management, master scheduling, customers, and production control to reschedule production in the event of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
- Represents Order Management on various Customer Focus Teams.
