LU- JIRA Business Consultant IDJIRA-Denver, COQualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldExperience managing a JIRA environment, preferably in a government or state agency settingIn-depth knowledge of Jira configuration, administration, and customizationStrong understanding of agile and project management methodologies and best practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to train and support users effectively, including content creation and presentationKnowledge of Envoy hoteling solution a plusResponsibilities The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the board setup is correct, providing support for users, and ensuring the overall health of the solutionThe product owner will also be responsible for the Envoy hoteling solutionThe Envoy solution allows users to reserve desk space, conference rooms, and provides notifications for package deliveriesThe incumbent is responsible for troubleshooting any user issues, working with the vendor to launch new modules, and the routine maintenance of the solutionCustomize Jira workflows, fields, screens, and schemes to align with the agency's project management processesImplement and manage plugins and add-ons to enhance Jira functionalityConfigure new modules to meet agency needsAdminister user permissions and security settings to ensure appropriate access levelsTroubleshoot user access issuesProvide ongoing support and training to solution users within the agencyTroubleshoot and resolve user issues related to Jira functionalityCreate and maintain documentation on best practices and usage guidelinesIntegrate Jira with other tools and systems used within the agency to facilitate seamless collaborationCollaborate with other IT teams to ensure the proper functioning of integrations and data exchangesPartner with stakeholders to update maps and assignmentsMonitor solution performance and implement optimizations to ensure optimal efficiencyConduct regular system health checks and address any identified issuesPlan and execute Jira software upgrades in coordination with the OIT teamTest new features and functionalities introduced in vendor updates to ensure compatibility and optimal performanceDevelop and maintain custom reports and dashboards to provide insights into project progress and team productivityCollaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and implement solutions accordinglyWork is a hybrid environment. Required to be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursday at 1575 Sherman St. between 7 : 45 am and 5 pm.This position is up to 6 months with the option of extension, and the client is in Denver, CO.As a contractor for the Business Innovation Technology and Security (BITS) team, this position will manage the JIRA and Envoy solutions. The BITS team launched using JIRA in December 2023 as a tool to assist in workflow and project management, risk tracking, and collaboration.
