Our direct client has an opening for a UI / UX Front-End Developer / Designer Specialist position # 657580. This position is for 12 months, with the option of extension, and is located in Raleigh, NC.

Description :

Our client's Web Services group is seeking a UI / UX Front-End Developer / Designer Specialist for its public-facing site. The person will be responsible for responsive page design, graphic asset design / development, Front-End Development with JavaScript and CSS, wireframes, creation of UI elements, and creation of layout templates based on the needs of the NCDOT Ferry unit. This contractor should have extensive experience creating public-facing marketing websites, graphic editing, responsive design for all platforms, and page performance. The contractor should also be familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud, Visual Studio Code, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, and using these tools together to manipulate the DOM.

Job Responsibilities :

Maintains User Experience (UX) standards across multiple pages / sites for layout and interactivity.

Design and building of interfaces for our internal clients using tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq Mockups, and text editors.

Creation / editing of data-driven page templates in a content management system, as well as pages containing static HTML content.

Experience with Git, and / or Team Foundation Server.

Adding interactivity and animation to pages using JavaScript and CSS – all while keeping page load and responsiveness in mind at all times.

Building site templates with master pages.

Experience developing for a wide variety of browsers and screen sizes, using progressive enhancement to give users the best possible experience for their device.

Clearly communicating status reports, in verbal and written form.

Collaborating as a dedicated team member and demonstrating the ability to clearly communicate with other team members.

Required / Desired Skills :

Ability to design / prototype with modern tools like Adobe XD or Sketch. - Required - 7 Years.

Experience with JavaScript and CSS in HTML5 web pages. Prefer experience in a .NET environment - Required - 7 Years.

Ability to create, configure and update pages using modern text editors. - Required - 7 Years.

Ability to read and generate wireframes, storyboards, and interactive mockups - Required - 7 Years.

Ability to effectively organize and present large amounts of content to end-users - Required - 7 Years.

Ability to create designs that work well in all screen sizes, using techniques like responsive web design - Required - 7 Years.
