About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Focused Staffing. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support services to students with diverse needs, while also collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective educational programs.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of students
2. Providing direct instruction and support to students in a special education classroom or resource room setting
3. Collaborating with academic teachers and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective educational programs
4. Assessing student progress and communicating with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders as needed
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have a valid NJ Teacher of the Handicapped OR Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification, as well as experience working with special needs students. A master's degree in Special Education or a related field is preferred.
