Dedicated Aide - Urgent

Location: Chester, PA
Compensation: $20 per hour

Job Summary

Dedicated Aides work closely with teachers and school administrators to ensure students remain engaged, safe, and punctual throughout the school day. In this role, you will help monitor student behavior, support classroom order, and serve as a role model for positive conduct. Bilingual candidates (Spanish-English) are strongly preferred to better support our diverse student body and their families.

Essential Functions

Monitor student behavior and help maintain a safe and orderly school environment.
Build and maintain professional relationships with students, faculty, and administrators.
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure a collaborative learning atmosphere.
Serve as a positive role model for students, reinforcing school values and expectations.
Escort students during recess, lunch, arrival, and dismissal to promote safety and discipline.
Arrive on time and remain present for the full school day.
Notify the Principal promptly of any schedule changes or student concerns.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the school community.

Minimum Requirements

✅ Education: High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
✅ Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish is preferred to support communication with diverse students and families.
✅ Experience: Previous experience working with inner-city youth is a plus!
✅ Skills: Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
✅ Clearances: Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check, Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Criminal Background Clearance.

Demonstrated Knowledge of:

School policies and regulations to provide accurate guidance to students.
Effective interpersonal skills, including patience, tact, and courtesy.
Student Code of Conduct and other disciplinary procedures.
