Position: Special Education Teacher
Employment Type: W2 Direct hire, full-time
Salary: Up to $65,000 per year (depending on experience)
Focused Staffing Group is seeking a Pennsylvania-certified Special Education Teacher to join its partner school in Warrington, PA.
Requirements
- Required to have a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 18 credits in special education and 6 credits in education theory.
- Must possess a Pennsylvania Special Education certificate; or a Pennsylvania Private Academic certification with the ability to attain public certification within one year from the date of hire will be considered.
- Experience working with students with autism or emotional support is required; this can include student teaching.
Position Details
- The primary goal of the SPED Teacher is to provide specialized instruction in an individualized program for students to empower them to become happy, confident, and productive members of their community.
- Design, supervise, and implement students’ IEP plans.
- Create and coordinate student schedules with related services and general education.
- Collect and analyze student data and monitor student progress.
- Effectively working with large teams of professionals needs to coordinate services.
- Participate in several staff development training courses that focus on working with students with Autism.
