Position : Enrichment / Support Teacher
Schedule : Wednesdays only, 7 : 45 am - 4 : 15 pm (additional days possible)

- Implement a shared school mission and vision to promote each student’s social, emotional, and academic development
- Actively participate in data-driven instruction and methods of continuous improvement to ensure we meet the needs of each student
- Reinforce the mission with students and families, inspiring them to act on the mission every single day
- Reflect on instructional practices and adjust behavior and systems accordingly : ask regularly for feedback; model humility and admit mistakes; seek out thought partners; and, engage in professional learning
- Collaborates with support teachers and other staff to ensure proper and consistent implementation of our instructional program

The Enrichment / Support Teacher is responsible for ensuring students are safe, learning and excited about our enrichment program each Wednesday. In coordination with the Extended Learning Coordinator, the Enrichment / Support Teacher works to ensure students engage in learning activities and enrichment activities as a part of a robust program. The program will incorporate art, music, dance, theater, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese languages, and STEM. The Enrichment / Support Teacher will report directly to the Extended Learning Coordinator.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Follow the Wednesday schedule provided by the Extended Learning Coordinator and keep students engaged in fun, hands-on, learning activitiesSet and hold students to extremely high academic and behavioral standardsBe available to support other Enrichment / Support Teachers and Extended Learning Coordinator, when neededEnsure the school culture is protected in the program by creating a positive, achievement-oriented, and structured learning environment where students are excited and invested in academic achievementImplement systems and set and reinforce clear expectations and routines that are aligned with the school's overall visionEnsure students are safe at all times. This includes, but is not limited to monitoring students in the classroom, hallways, at recess, and during other school-related activitiesDistribute snacks to students in the classroom each dayBe prepared to work from 7 : 45 am - 4 : 15 pm, on Wednesdays only (additional days possible)Enrichment / Support Teacher Requirements :
Possess a minimum of a High School Diploma (an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred)At least two years of classroom experience, preferably in a public school or urban settingAt least three years of combined experience as a teacher preferredDeep experience and knowledge of learning standards and student-centered curriculumAn energetic, flexible, creative, innovative individual who can develop strengths-based, student-centered support plans that support learning for students of various abilities, including those with variously identified exceptionalitiesAbility to excel as a member of a multidisciplinary team and an instructional teamAbility to work in a multicultural, multilingual environmentAbility to collaborate and teach through a lens of diversity, equity, justice, and inclusionStrong communication skills (both oral and written)
