Position : Home-Based SPED Teacher
Commitment : Part-time, up to 25 hours per week
Focused Staffing Group is hiring a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to support our partner school in Franklin, MA . This unique role involves delivering educational services directly in a home setting, providing instruction to two students.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
- Plan for the effective specialized instruction and intervention for students on IEPs outside the general education classroom;
- Provide specialized reading instruction using a research-based multi-sensory reading program
- Administer formal diagnostic assessments and tests for students initially referred and for three-year reevaluations of caseload students;
- Administer ongoing progress monitoring, strategic monitoring, and benchmark systems;
- Schedule, prepare for, and attend Team meetings for newly referred and caseload students;
- Write comprehensive progress reports and IEPs
- Collaborate with general education staff with respect to appropriate accommodations and modifications;
- Provide ongoing positive communication with parents;
- Collect and analyze student data against IEP goals
