Job Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients while adhering to professional standards and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care and assist with treatments.
- Assessment: Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Treatment Planning: Assist in developing and implementing care plans.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications accurately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on self-care.
- Collaboration: Work with healthcare team to coordinate care.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies promptly.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN (preferred but not required).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Dementia care training & experience in providing care to patients with dementia.
Documents to submit: (Current within the last 12 months)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License in NC
- CPR / BLS/ First Aid
- Criminal Background Check (state-specific)
- Physical
- 2-Step TB Test
