Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive physical education programs that meet the needs of students at various skill levels.
- Teach a variety of physical activities, including sports, fitness exercises, and health education.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills and understanding of physical fitness.
- Create lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal fitness goals.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, such as sports teams or fitness clubs.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate health and wellness concepts into the broader curriculum.
- Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field from an accredited university is required.
- Valid teaching certification or licensure in Physical Education is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physical fitness principles, sports rules, and health education practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
