Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Accounting to lead the accounting department for a dynamic organization in the Nashville area. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with a strong accounting background, excellent management skills, and a passion for driving financial success in a growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, ensuring effective collaboration and skill development.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Provide financial insights to senior leadership to support business decisions.
- Implement and improve accounting processes and systems for increased efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and other key metrics.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or other relevant certifications preferred).
- At least 8 years of experience in accounting, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team, including performance evaluations and training.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
