Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manager of Payroll Operations and Systems to support the Lawson Payroll system and other related payroll technologies. This role will be a key contributor in payroll system projects, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the seamless operation of payroll functions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large-scale payroll operations (1,000 employees), general ledger expertise, and familiarity with HR/payroll systems such as Infor/Lawson, Workday, and Kronos.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead payroll system configuration, setup, and troubleshooting.
Schedule and conduct meetings with internal departments and external partners to support payroll functions.
Collaborate with IT&S and support teams to resolve functional system issues.
Work closely with Payroll Service Centers (PSC) to ensure payroll processes run smoothly.
Assist in system maintenance and address functionality-related inquiries.
Investigate payroll-related concerns and implement resolutions.
Keep leadership informed of work progress and system changes.
Act as a subject matter expert for payroll-related inquiries across PSC and division/facility leadership.
Develop and contribute to payroll training materials and provide training sessions as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (relevant experience may be considered in place of education).
Minimum 5 years of experience in HR/payroll, preferably within the healthcare industry.
Experience with payroll systems such as Infor/Lawson, Workday, and Kronos preferred.
Strong understanding of general ledger functions related to payroll.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
Proven experience managing large-scale payroll operations (1,000 employees).
