Job Overview

FOCUSPOINT is seeking an experienced Medical Collections Specialist for one of our clients. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in B2B collections and dispute resolution. You will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts, maintaining relationships with suppliers, and ensuring timely collections of payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and manage a portfolio of clients for collections.
• Contact customers to secure payments on past-due balances and set up payment plans as needed.
• Process payments, refunds, and resolve billing or customer credit issues.
• Research payment discrepancies, address discrepancies between reporting and payments, and provide resolutions.
• Acknowledge customer emails and/or calls within 24-48 hours.
• Resolve supplier reporting issues to minimize payment disputes.
• Update account status records and document collection efforts.
• Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status.
• Meet productivity and quality expectations while effectively organizing and prioritizing tasks.
• Prefer candidates proficient in MS Excel, including basic formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
  
  

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of B2B collections and/or Accounts Receivable experience
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel (v-lookups and pivot tables a plus)
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
• Ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others
• Analytical skills to balance and reconcile records
