You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, analyzing financial data, and supporting decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports and statements.
- Accounts Receivable: Record payment receipts, review and bill tenant recurring charges, reconcile tenant ledgers, and monitor collections.
- Accounts Payable: Process invoices with proper coding and approvals, assist in monthly check runs, and maintain a thorough audit trail.
- Tenant Billing: Review leases to ensure accurate billing and process invoices for utilities, reimbursements, and other tenant-related charges.
- Budgeting: Assist with annual budget preparation, including compiling assumptions, maintaining lease-level budgets, and estimating miscellaneous income.
- Quarterly Forecasting: Prepare quarterly forecasts and contribute to financial reports.
- Year-End Reconciliation: Handle CAM, percentage rent, insurance utilities, sewer/trash, and real estate tax reconciliations.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3-5 years of commercial real estate accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Yardi real estate accounting software is required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and handle ambiguity with confidence.
