Under minimal supervision, applies cash, accrual and full GAAP accounting principles to prepare, analyze, maintain and deliver complete, accurate and timely monthly financial reports for a portfolio of multi-family properties. Works closely with property manager to complete monthly reporting package sent to the clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares monthly financial reporting packages on a schedule to ensure timely delivery to client and other management teams that include review of revenue transactions, creating and posting journal entries recorded to the general ledger, fixed asset depreciation and amortization roll-forward, in depth review of general ledger and income statement, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensures that all expenses, receipts, owner's distributions, funding requests and other transactions for the accounting period have been accurately posted.
Compiles quarterly schedules as requested by SVP.
Calculates management fees.
Calculates and prepares distributions for clients.
Submits quarterly reports and reserve draws to Lenders.
Researches, resolves and responds to requests from management teams and clients regarding various accounting issues and reports.
Participates in recording of property purchase and sale transitions, and client audit requests.
Performs other duties/projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Degree from a four-year college or university program with an emphasis in accounting, finance or related field required.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, deadline driven, extremely organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to professionally communicate with all levels of individuals within and outside the organization, while successfully managing multiple tasks.

Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
