This position is part-time and includes a weekday and weekend early morning shift starting at 7-7:30am.

Fold'd is a social enterprise project of SOS Recovery Community Organization, a non-profit 501c3 based in Rochester, NH. We are professional, social, inclusive and Fold’d is a full-service breakfast and lunch restaurant on a mission to foster community and support to those that need and deserve a second chance. Fold’d provides high-quality food, friendly service, and a safe and inclusive environment for patrons and staff. Fold’d serves a creative assortment of breakfast and lunch food: eggs, pancakes, sandwiches, burgers, crepes, and more. Fold’d offers food for a variety of different palates and dietary restrictions. More than a restaurant, Fold’d provides workforce opportunities for those in recovery or previously incarcerated. This is a demographic of people who are frequently deprived of employment opportunities or a safe and supportive environment to grow and build healthy social connections; Fold’d aims to offer an opportunity to make an income, but also to develop employable skills for sustainable recovery. It gets its name from distinctive savory and sweet breakfast fare — ‘folded’ crepes and omelets — along with classic New England brunch and lunch dishes..

Duties:

- Provide enthusiastic and excellent guest services by taking orders, making milk shakes, serving food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a modern diner atmosphere!
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitize tables, chairs, and dining areas.
- Demonstrate hospitality and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Perform basic math calculations to calculate bills and provide change to customers.
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishes to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders.
- Assist with food preparation as needed.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and perform basic math calculations accurately.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation practices in a food service setting.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
