PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
The Content Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in developing and executing content strategies that align with our marketing and engagement goals. This role focuses on creating and managing high-quality, strategic content across multiple channels—including email, website, and social media platforms—to drive audience engagement, donor retention, and brand awareness. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, a creative thinker, and a data-driven marketer who understands how to craft compelling content and ensure its successful distribution across digital platforms.

Content Strategy & Development
- Plan, write, and edit content for email campaigns, newsletters, landing pages, and social media platforms.
- Develop content that supports marketing initiatives, donor engagement, brand storytelling, and community outreach.
- Ensure content is optimized for SEO and tailored to specific platform requirements (e.g., short-form for social media).
Social Media Strategy & Coordination
- Partner with the Social Media Coordinator to create a cohesive social media strategy that supports overall content marketing goals.
- Develop and implement content for various social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, etc.), ensuring each post is aligned with the organization’s voice, values, and strategic goals.
- Monitor and analyze social media trends, tools, and applications to keep content innovative and relevant.
- Track social media performance, engagement, and conversion metrics to refine strategies and improve content.
- Help drive user engagement through creative campaigns, contests, polls, and interactive content.
- Assist in the management of paid social media advertising to boost visibility and reach for key content pieces.
Content Distribution & Coordination
- Manage the content calendar to ensure timely execution of marketing campaigns and social media posts.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to gather stories, insights, and assets for content creation.
- Ensure consistency of messaging across all content channels (social media, email, website, etc.,).
- Repurpose content from other marketing efforts to maintain engagement across platforms.
Analytics & Optimization
- Track and analyze content performance, including social media engagement, email open rates, and website traffic.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve content effectiveness and optimize engagement.
- Conduct A/B testing on content types, subject lines, headlines, and social media posts to optimize performance.
- Monitor key metrics and KPIs to measure the success of content marketing and social media strategies.
Other Marketing Support
- Assist with messaging for fundraising, donor campaigns, and special initiatives.
- Support copywriting needs for promotional materials, advertisements, and other marketing efforts.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and content marketing best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications (preferred) with 2 years of content marketing, social media marketing, or digital marketing or similar experience required.
- Prior knowledge of Google Analytics and A/B testing strategies.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and/or Canva.
- Familiarity with paid social media campaigns and boosting posts.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of SEO and social media analytics.
- Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing social media strategies that drive engagement and meet objectives.
- Proven experience with email marketing platforms (Salesforce, Mailchimp, etc.) and website CMS (WordPress, Drupal, etc.).
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized and deadline driven
- Demonstrate ability to perform as a team collaborator.
- Prior experience in nonprofit marketing or donor communications is preferred.

- Performance Tracking – Calculate conversion rates, click-through rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate content effectiveness and guide strategy adjustments.
