Essential Duties: The job duties listed below are an overview of the essential duties and measures required to be successful in the position. Please note that the listed examples do not include all tasks which may be expected within this job position.
Answer all calls and respond promptly to voicemails, emails, internet inquiries following all company standards regarding telephone etiquette and information
Possess thorough product knowledge of room types, room positioning, current rates, facilities and services within the hotel
Accurately inputs reservations into the property management system, noting requests for special accommodation, reservations, service items, room types etc.
Offer and upsell hotel amenities to guests as appropriate
Review all reservations entered for the day to confirm proper rates, guest information, and any special requests
Prepare all confirmation letters to be (e)mailed the same day as the reservation is booked
Accurately process deposits, refunds, and forfeitures
Keep a close eye on and update all internet booking systems including downloading, processing, changes, and cancellation of reservations
Assist with booking dinner and/or spa reservations for guest(s)
Monitors waitlist for upcoming dates- contacts guest(s) if room becomes available
General Requirements: Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience:
Experience in Hospitality or Customer Service-related environment. Focus on exceptional phone and email etiquette is critical for this position.
Qualifications:
Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills
Exceptional customer service skills, including phone manners and etiquette
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
Strong relationship building skills including ability to lead team members through influence and work collaboratively with others to achieve desired results, along with strong team development skills
Ability to quickly problem solve and make sensible decisions
Must possess excellent attention to detail, high level of organization, and the ability to multi-task, follow through and re-prioritize well to meet deadlines on multiple projects
Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs. Working some holidays is a requirement in this position

Pay Range: The starting pay range for this position is $18.00-$20.00 per hour. This is the pay range for this position that Farmhouse Inn reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual pay will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
