What are the responsibilities and job description for the Officer - Security & Safety position at Foley Entertainment Group LLC?
Security Officers play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of City National Arena. Responsibilities include monitoring NHL hockey practices, hockey programs, public skating sessions, and private events. Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional guest service skills while effectively implementing security measures, first aid protocols, and emergency preparedness strategies to mitigate risks. Please note, this is a part-time, overnight, Friday to Sunday position, 8pm-6am.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct facility patrols to identify security breaches, hazards, or suspicious activity.
Enforce policies to ensure order and safety during events and activities.
Monitor CCTV and respond promptly to incidents.
Manage all first aid events.
Assist guests, employees, and vendors to ensure a positive experience.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
Investigate security incidents and document findings.
Manage crowd control during emergencies or events.
Participate in ongoing security training and development.
Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic as necessary.
Verify credentials for access to secure zones.
Support facility operations with collaborative tasks.
Oversee shipping and receiving.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
5 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service preferred.
Proficient in security principles, crowd management, and emergency response.
Proficient in AED operation, CPR, and Stop the Bleed first aid techniques.
Strong communication, writing, interpersonal, and conflict de-escalation skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and mitigate risks
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work in varying conditions, dark, bright, smoky, dusty, cold, or confined spaces.
Physically able to kneel, carry, bend, walk, and stand for long periods.
Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
