What You Will Do in This Role:
- Perform repairs and also do full reconditioning on components.
- Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision
- Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments
- Complete work orders and service reports with clear, concise, and detailed information.
- Create a work environment that supports safety and is considerate of the customer and department’s needs.
Candidate Requirements:
- Must be active duty U.S. Military members (or spouse) with approximately 180 days of time in service remaining.
- Must be accepted into the Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) 25-2 cohort.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulics
- General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, cranes and rigging equipment
- Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications
What Will Put You Ahead:
- Experience working within the diesel mechanics industry
- Knowledge of use of various heavy equipment, including Caterpillar
- Stable work history
