What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Parts Manager position at Foley Equipment?
The General Parts Manager leads and manages the Parts Department's operational performance, profits, expenses, and cost of operation. You will also work closely with internal and external customers' concerns to promote superior quality, safety and service.
What You Will Do in This Role:
- Direct the development of process and system improvements for parts operations.
- Responsible for designing, controlling, and implementing improvements across the parts department
- Create, with required management, an annual plan to include objectives and goals for parts departments and other business plans
- Promote employee satisfaction by ensuring complete and timely performance appraisals, as well as conduct appropriate employee counseling, career development, and succession planning
- Make and communicate critical decisions consistently with leadership, integrity, quality, urgency and teamwork
- Work with internal and external customers in a supportive and productive way in support of the goals of the company
- Promote a safe work environment
- Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in parts or service
- Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred, five-plus years of prior experience in a related field, and/or combination of both
- Previous management experience
- Ability to empower and develop employees
- Strong communication skills
