Position Overview
Foley Johnson Winery is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Harvest Cellar/Lab Interns for the 2025 harvest season. This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about winemaking and eager to gain hands-on experience in both cellar operations and laboratory analysis.

*This is a temporary position; the anticipated length of employment is August through November 2025*
\n- As a Harvest Cellar/Lab Intern, you’ll assist the production and winemaking teams in various aspects of the winemaking process, including but not limited to:
- Grape and Juice Sampling: Perform vineyard grape sampling and in-house juice sampling
- Lab Analysis: Conduct tests including Brix, temperature, pH, TA, and Wine X-Ray analysis
- Sanitation: Maintain clean and organized workspaces to uphold winery standards
- Production Support: Assist with grape receiving, crushing, and pressing
- Fermentation Management: Monitor and manage fermentations, perform additions, and conduct punch-downs and pump-overs
- Barrel Work: Participate in barrel filling, racking, and other barrel-related tasks
- Interest in pursuing a career in winemaking or a related field
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Prior cellar or lab experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to climb stairs and stand for long hours
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including cold or wet environments

- Competitive hourly wage ($19.50 - $25.50/hour)
- $500 sign-on bonus (minus applicable taxes) upon successful completion of the internship
