Electrical Technical Assistance Role
This role provides electrical technical support to various divisions within Power Systems and external customers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, specifying parts, and project managing specialized projects for service.
- Facilitate in-house training for service technicians on technical procedures.
- Use resources to resolve service issues and gather data for all departments.
- Manage small electrical projects for the Service Department.
- Train and mentor technicians on technical procedures.
- Maintain an updated library of relevant software and documents (CAT and other).
- Create quick guides for specialized equipment.
- Maintain a list of technician electrical safety equipment.
- Support Engineering with general electrical and startup tasks.
- Maintain Foley electrical equipment through yearly calibrations, software upgrades, and cable/battery replacements as necessary.
- Participate in Sales customer meetings and quotes by interpreting drawings and specs, making equipment/design recommendations, gathering technical data, and providing explanations to customer questions.
- Provide customer support by taking calls to determine service needs, resolving issues over the phone, supplying necessary documents, and attending sites for unique issues.
Recommended Qualifications:
- Electrical Engineer degree.
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Certified on power quality meter and Infrared camera.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
- Knowledge of PLC controls and electrical/electronic circuits.
