The Business Development & Marketing Coordinator supports the Business Law team with marketing projects and initiatives nationwide, including working with team members to execute practice group specific activities, including pitch materials, presentations, marketing content development, knowledge management database, events, and general business development & marketing activities. The Coordinator works across many practice groups in the Business Law Department and with all levels of business professionals and attorneys. This is a highly collaborative role providing our practice groups and attorneys with the support they need to generate revenue and enhance the Foley brand.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the members of the BD & Marketing team, including supporting specific marketing goals, initiatives, and strategies
- Assist with writing projects, including thoughtful, customized content for pitches and RFPs for both new and existing clients; work to create timeline, consistency, and quality assurance; record and track outcomes
- Assist with the execution of events, webinars, conferences/seminars, client entertainment, and client receptions, including creating and monitoring budgets, logistics, invitations, materials, follow-up communications, and ROI tracking
- Assist with the management, publishing, and promotion of thought leadership
- Promote practice groups via the firm’s social media channels and other digital media outlets
- Maintain the integrity of the firm’s experience database, working with the PR and CRM teams as well as the attorneys to collect experience and organize it effectively, update practice group collateral regularly, and work with attorneys to update their bios
- Draft, edit, and distribute e-marketing campaigns
- Coordinate ranking and accolade submissions, including Chambers USA and league table submissions
- Update relevant practice and sector information within the firm's CRM database, including new data entry, maintaining external mailing lists, and generating reports
- Coordinate all sponsorships and contributions allocated to the BDM budget and maintain a database to track those expenses
- Track and monitor all memberships and sponsorships and track ROI
- Track a measurable ROI follow up plan for events hosted and sponsored
- Coordinate and process all marketing-related expenses
- Performs special projects as requested
- Effectively collaborate with all teams within the Business Development and Marketing Department, including Communications, Events, Client Development, RFP/Proposal, Competitive Intelligence, Sectors and Industries, Branding and Creative Services, and Marketing Systems and Operations, to create and implement practice group marketing projects, facilitate business development efforts, and support client service opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or related field required
- Minimum of one (1) year of marketing, business development, or related professional services experience, inclusive of internship experience, required
- Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritize and manage projects
Pursuant to the Illinois Equity Pay Act and Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the salary range for this Chicago or Denver based position is between $56,400 - $79,000. The actual offered amount will be determined based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
