Overhead Crane Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vehicle maintenance and diesel engine repair, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires hands-on expertise with tools and schematics, as well as the capability to perform heavy lifting and assembly tasks.

Duties

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and heavy machinery, including tractor-trailers.
• Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
• Assemble components and align parts according to specifications.
• Interpret schematics to understand system layouts and operational functions.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during repairs or equipment relocation.
• Operate forklifts safely to assist in moving materials or equipment within the facility.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Document all maintenance activities and repairs performed on equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, particularly with diesel engines.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as digging when necessary.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and understanding mechanical schematics.
• Experience with assembly processes related to machinery or vehicles is preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Experience:

• Overhead Crane Repair: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:
