What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Foley Products Company?
This position coordinates the activities of drivers to maximize productivity, while assuring prompt and effective service to customers. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Works with load scheduling, plant production, yard teams and customers to establish delivery schedules according to factors such as truck capacities, distances to delivery site, delivery schedules and unloading times.
- Generates invoices, delivery tickets, and related shipping documents
- Assigns drivers for scheduled deliveries
- Generates various reports
- Strives to meet customer expectations without exception and achieve highly positive customer satisfaction results.
- Coordinates with operations and sales to resolve problems and improve quality of service.
- Develops strong working relationships with internal customers in order to ensure customer needs are addressed.
- Audits driver logs and daily vehicle inspection reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with State and Federal laws.
- Adheres to all Foley Products Company, OSHA and DOT rules and regulations.
- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
- 1 years large fleet dispatching experience required
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel) required
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good time management skills
Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain satisfactory customer relations and to work through demanding situations in a fast pace environment.
